The Albacore are back. After the taking the week off because of weather conditions they are showing up for the 1.5 day trips and longer. The size range is ten to twenty four pounds. Smaller fish are good because the are always bigger fish near the end of the season, just not as many of them. The weather is settling down and the water temp. is good so the bite should continue to heat up. At the Coronado Islands along with Yellowtail, Barracuda, and Kelp Bass a few Blue fin Tuna have been showing up. There are just a few in the counts but more are being hooked than landed. The local half day boats are seeing lots of Sand Bass, Rockfish, Sheephead and a selection of both surface and bottom fish.
